Cygnet Charters: Passenger Agreement & Voyage Terms 1.0 Financial Terms & Inclusions 1.1 Expedition Pricing: All rates for Port Davey and Bruny Island voyages are quoted in AUD (inclusive of GST) and are based on shared cabin. While we strive for consistency, prices are subject to change based on minimum passenger requirements. 1.2 What is Included: Your fare specifically covers: Transfers between the Cygnet Charters designated meeting point and the vessel. All onboard accommodation and lodging on the Kerrawyn. All meals and some beverages.. Parks and Wildlife entry permits. Safety equipment, including life jackets. 1.3 Out-of-Pocket Expenses: Guests are responsible for their own choice of alcohol, personal medical requirements, and any travel or accommodation required before or after the voyage dates. 2.0 Reservation & Cancellation Policy Charters The prices for private charters and functions onboard are as quoted on our website or upon enquiry. Unless otherwise stipulated, the price includes: Private hire of the vessel; Qualified crew for the duration of the charter; Fuel; National park entry fees (if required) Use of life jacket (if required). The inclusion of food and beverages will be specified at the time of quoting. 2.1 Booking Security: A 20% deposit is required to lock in your dates. This deposit is non-refundable. The remaining 80% must be settled no later than 60 days prior to the Kerrawyn’s departure. 2.2 Guest-Initiated Cancellation: Notice must be provided to Cygnet Charters in writing. The following fee structure applies: 60+ Days Notice: Deposit retained (but may be applied to a trip within 18 months). 60–30 Days Notice: 50% of total fare is forfeited. Under 30 Days Notice: 100% of total fare is forfeited. 2.3 Schedule Adjustments: Guests may request one date change at no cost provided it is done 60 days out. Subsequent changes incur a $200 administrative fee per guest. 3.0 Operational Safety & Wilderness Logistics 3.1 The "Force Majeure" Clause: Because we operate in the remote Southern Tasmanian wilderness, Cygnet Charters reserves the right to cancel departures due to extreme weather, safety risks, or "Acts of God." In these specific instances, we provide credits for future travel. For non-weather cancellations, full refunds are available. 3.2 Aerial Transfers: Getting to Melaleuca involves light aircraft, weather is the deciding factor. Delays: If a flight is delayed over 12 hours, we may extend the trip if possible or offer a pro-rata refund for missed time (calculated at the nightly rate minus 25%). Extended Stay: If weather prevents your exit, additional nights aboard the Kerrawyn will be charged at a discounted nightly rate. 3.3 Emergency Evacuation: Should a guest require medical extraction, the guest is solely responsible for all costs. This includes aircraft hire and the operational cost of diverting the Kerrawyn back to Hobart. Private travel insurance is mandatory for these risks. 4.0 Conduct & Liability 4.1 Authority of the Skipper: The Trip Leader/Skipper has total authority over the vessel's safety. They may remove any guest whose behavior is illegal, intoxicated, or distressing to others. No refunds are issued for forced removals. 4.2 Risk Acknowledgment: You acknowledge that maritime expeditions involve inherent dangers. By boarding the Kerrawyn, you voluntarily assume these risks and agree to indemnify Cygnet Charters against claims of injury or property loss, to the extent permitted under Tasmanian Law. 4.3 Media Release: We may capture photos or video during the journey for promotional use. If you wish to opt-out, please notify Cygnet Charters in writing prior to boarding. 5.0 Governing Law This agreement is governed by the statutes of Tasmania, Australia.
